Mouthing off
March 28, 2008

Josie’s new pastime: sitting in her bouncer watching her animated friends move up and down.  I’d be jealous at how much attention she gives the monkey, in particular, if I weren’t happy to steal some time to myself during these moments. Ben and I owe that monkey for allowing us time to eat or clean the house now [...]

Damn Computer
March 26, 2008

Josie, cover your ears. Our computer crashed again. Until fixed, we’ll try to “keep up” when we can. Each of us has limited personal time on our work computers, but come on…posting the day-to-day activities and bodily functions of a two-month old is just as important, I believe.  Anyway, stay tuned friends.

Cabin fever setting in.
March 22, 2008

From Ben:
I’m not going to lie. I love snow. I really do. However, this is getting ridiculous.
Yesterday, we got another four inches of wet, sloppy snow after Mother Nature teased me with a glimpse of my yard three days ago. Before this latest deposit of dismal white deluge, I imagined images of Josie, Kim and [...]

Josie and the Gopher 5
March 17, 2008

From Ben:
I think it’s safe to say that Josie is a Gophers fan.

Happy St. Patty’s Day
March 17, 2008

An old Irish blessing goes like this:

So, do you feel lucky?

The Ramsden Klan wishes everyone a happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Sleeping babies don’t burp
March 11, 2008

In the past two months Josie has taught me lots of things about babies. One of the first lessons was that there is no good reason to wake a sleeping newborn to make her eat in the middle of the night. Believe it or not, she will not die of starvation and will wake up [...]

We survived!
March 5, 2008

From Ben:
Cough, hack, wheeze, Gasp, cough!
I never thought I would leave the couch, but I did it, and it would seem that we defeated the germs — though they did have us in a sleeper hold for about a week.
I have no voice, I’m saturated with water, and there are cough drop wrappers scattered [...]

the white flag (and yes, a white russian would help too)
March 4, 2008

Boy, that was a dramatic sounding post from a few days ago! I should add Cabin Fever to our list of illnesses. However, Josie and I got out the past couple days. We enjoyed tunes on the radio and took the long way. Sometime during the ride, I  surrendered to letting this be what it [...]

Germs: 3, Ramsdens: 0
March 2, 2008

It’s germ warfare in our house and we are losing. First me, then Josie got the sniffles with cough, and now Ben has the fever-bug. I am so tired of worrying and helping both of them that this is all i will write. It’s about the extent of my ability to function outside of caregiver [...]
